What's the matter, you don't like fractionated palm kernel oil mixed with a chemical cocktail, sugar and a half pound of salt in your peanut butter? Can't understand why. I suppose you don't like the rat hairs as well?

Loc: Mountain Pine Ridge, Belize This is a very good opportunity at a reasonable price. I cannot imagine where else you can acquire an established customer base as large as this in any business. Nearly every supermarket, resort, corner store in the country will carry this product immediately. He has had some inquiries but no one serious. Belize is not full of financial opportunity but this is a good deal.

Posts: 6 Hi BelizeBritts, i am plan now go to visit in Belize. And want to start a business there. But i don't have any idea which business is better there, but i am interested in stores etc as you tell us. so can you PM me, and share with me more detail about your business?

Loc: Cayo, Belize That peanut butter is hard to find and how can someone compete with KRAFT? Packaging is horrible and the brand is unknown to many.

This brand had been in Belize since the 70's. The owner agrees that the labeling, specifically, needs an update. The reason it is hard to find is because the owner is a one man show that does not do a great job of getting out and marketing the product. The product is excellent and is a great seller among many groups including the health conscious, all natural granola types. Not the typical Belizean to be sure but the fact is the products, the peanut butter and granola, sell. A push by a sales person to simply make the rounds on a consistent basis would increase the amount of stores carry these items exponentially. This is one of few great opportunities to take over an established name and run with it.

I met Chris on Saturday at the market, just randomly, and I would generally agree with the above, if the cash flows would support anywhere near that asking price I think its got a lot of upside with packaging and marketing. Love the idea, and I don't think its hard at all to compete with name brands for the middle and upper end segments.
