Watch Manufacturing Companies
By Amanda Falcone On October 10, 2012 · 1 Comment Connecticut manufacturers want to make sure people know that they are open and ready for business, and they used a hit pop song to get their message out.
Like the U.S. swim team and countless others, Connecticut’s manufacturing companies and business associations choreographed a video to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” The video is how they are celebrating manufacturing month.
“Manufacturing is alive and strong within the state of Connecticut,” said Joseph Brennan, senior vice president for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association. “This video is a fun way to show the state that manufacturers are open and ready for business, and to bring attention to a very important part of the Connecticut economy.”
The following companies and businesses groups helped to create the video: Air Handling Systems in Woodbridge; Capewell Components Company LLC in South Windsor; CBIA in Hartford; CONNSTEP, Inc., in Rocky Hill; Cooper-Atkins Corporation in Middlefield; ebm-papst, Inc., in Farmington; G & R Manufacturing in Naugatuck; Munson’s Chocolates in Bolton; New Haven Manufacturer’s Association in New Haven; Prospect Machine Products Inc., in Prospect; Schwerdtle Stamp Company Inc., in Bridgeport; Smaller Manufacturers Association of Connecticut, Inc., in Waterbury.
Now if the state can be more business friendly by not catering to the unions, eliminating stupid and oppressive regulations, lowering cost of energy, lowering business and personal taxes, lowering over-all cost of living to attract good employees, and stop buying business at the expense of tax payers then we would have a business friendly state like many others in our great country. The business climate in Connecticut sucks no matter how the Courant on DNC tells us otherwise.
"Good advice! I stupidly succumbed to a sale despite the warnings RT @GovMalloyOffice: We'd recommend non-perishables :) http://t.co/779p2v1Y"
